No More ZuckBucks!

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg will not be spending some $400 million to “facilitate” this year’s election. His decision may have had something to do with last week’s roll-out of a powerful video indictment of the impact of a similar donation by Zuckerberg and his wife in the 2020 race.

The movie is called “Rigged: The Zuckerberg Funded Plot to Defeat Donald Trump.” It documents how so-called “ZuckBucks” lavished primarily on local election officials in Democratic districts – involving, in some cases at least, actually staffing their balloting operations – had the predictable effect of corrupting the results.

Zuckerberg may spend millions more this year on what he calls an alliance for “election excellence.” But he better be very careful: So far, eight states have banned the sort of “philanthropy” he engaged in last cycle. And there’s talk he may face prosecution for undermining election integrity.
