This week Julie talks with Jem Baldisimo, a native of the Philippines, who is studying the change in genetic diversity in species that are collected from Philippine reefs as a part of the aquarium trade. She is comparing contemporary diversity to the diversity observed over 100 years ago when the Smithsonian sent an expedition to study the reefs.
