Owner and CEO of children's boutique Little High Flyers, Corina sits down and discusses her journey in motherhood, career and entrepreneurship. Migrating to the United States from Romania with only $20 in her pocket a little over 15 years ago. Corina attended the University of Michigan to study Psychology, at the time she completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies while caring for her first born daughter. After the birth of her second child, Corina struggled with a demanding career and now 2 children at home to care for. In many ways, she was forced to make a choice between her career and creating space for motherhood. After spending a few months at home with her children, Corina began to feel unproductive. She started connecting with other like-minded women seeking solutions and purpose in motherhood. After a chance meeting in London with a woman who manufactures hats, Corina decided to bring her product back home with her feeling compelled to support her. Several pop-ups later, Corina sourced other women-owned businesses who create sustainable children's products and long story short Little High Flyers was born!
