EP 39 \ What’s The Deal With Cord Clamping? Should It Be Clamped Immediately After Birth Or Should Cord Clamping Be Delayed?

For nearly 10 months your baby has been attached to you by the umbilical cord. That cord has been the baby's lifeline, pumping oxygen and nutrients in, and processing waste products back out to your body to get rid of. After birth, its job is seemingly over....but not so fast....there's a reason to let it hang in there just a little bit longer and today we're going to talk about why.

 

This episode will compare immediate cord clamping and delayed cord clamping.  We'll look at the physiological effects of both and decide which one truly is God's way and which one is the medical model thinking it knows better than God's perfect design.  The umbilical cord and the placenta are amazing creations of God with very specific but limited purposes, so we'll look at the end of the life cycle of these two things and how they should be managed after birth for the good of your baby.
