In addition to discussing how having women in the majority affects policy making, Sarah talks about her own motivations for running and other stereotypes she is helping to change in her state and beyond. Assemblywoman Peters is an accomplished environmental engineer who saw a need to address environmental issues and climate change in state politics. She is also a young mother of three who is setting an example for her children and is also cognizant of the example she is helping to set for the country as a whole.
