Courage involves facing our fears, but it is also about resilience, grit, and having a built-in BS detector and knowing when and how to use it. Evy Poumpouras, author of the new book, Becoming Bulletproof: Protect Yourself, Read People, Influence Situations, and Live Fearlessly, discusses how we can heighten our natural instincts to move from fear to fearlessness. She shares lessons and insights learned from protecting presidents and working in the most elite security force in the world. Evy is a former secret service special agent who is the recipient of the United States Secret Service Medal of Valor Award for her heroism on 9/11. She has been part of the protective details for former presidents Obama, both Bushes, Clinton, and Ford. Evy is the costar of Bravo’s Spy Games; is an on-air national TV contributor who frequently appears on NBC, MSNBC, and CNN; and an adjunct professor for The City University of New York where she teaches criminal justice and criminology.
