People in Loughrea are set to object over the proposed location of a new fire station in the area.

A public meeting to discuss the proposed location of the Loughrea Fire Station was held this week.

Locals are worried about the loss of green area at the proposed location - St. Lawrence's Fields.

Meeting organiser, Michael Regan, says people are prepared to stand against it.
