Swadeshi Jagaran Manch's National Co-convener Ashwani Mahajan says farm reforms are necessary but farmer interests need to be protected and they must be brought to the negotiating table. This means that the existing farm laws must be amended to incorporate a Minimum Support Price as demanded by farmers or a new law must be brought in. He said the SJM has conveyed its concerns to the government even before the laws were passed during the monsoon session of Parliament.
