The history of Kings Island can be found in bits and pieces on the Internet: Wikipedia, the Kings Island website, our blog. But no one has done a comprehensive history of the park-- until now. Evan Ponsitingle tells us what prompted him to write his book, Kings Island: A Ride Through Time, and tells us a few fun stories including, how the park got an Eiffel Tower, how Roy and Walt Disney helped, the 1960s TV star that inspired the park’s creation, how Orion ended up at the park--it was originally meant for a sibling park, and more.
