Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends! I would like to think, though I cannot be sure, that maybe you missed me. I've missed you. Dear God, I have been so down the past couple of months. I am not even sure why. But I am still around, still doing the radio thing, still trying and failing to write, though this is writing that you are reading. The week prior to this program, I had been off the air because Junior and I had visited my old stomping ground, in California. The week prior to this program, I had been off the air because Junior and I had visited my old stomping ground, in California. It was a weird and sad trip, because home never seemed quite like home to me. [I guess that means that home is here, in the 607.] Not even my beloved KDVS felt quite right when we visited it, the two of us, though it was nice to bring Junior to that sacred place. I was genuinely happy to be back in Ithaca, and doing radio, on the night that this program aired.

Needless to say (well, perhaps not needless) I wish things had gone better--I wish I hadn't picked up a cold, I wish the selection of tunes made sense to me, I wish I didn't botch as many segues as I did, in both concept and execution--the usual complaints, I suppose. Normal service resumes!
