On Wednesday, August 7, Deacon Mike Beauvais spoke with Leila Miller, co-author with Trent Horn of the book, Made This Way: How to Prepare Kids to Face Today’s Tough Moral Issues. The Feast Day of the Transfiguration was yesterday, August 6th, so in the first part of the show, Dcn. Mike spoke about the transfiguration – one of the most fascinating events in Jesus’ life, which happened on Mount Tabor. Dcn. Mike says the story of the transfiguration is a beautiful reminder that no matter what we see in this world, it doesn’t hold a candle to what’s to come. In the second part of the show, Dcn. Mike spoke with Leila Miller about today’s moral issues, specifically co-habitation or sex outside of marriage, and how we as Catholics are called to go against the grain and not be like the rest of the world no matter what the “norm” might be. She talks about how parents can give proper advice, based on our Catholic Faith, to their children on these tough moral issues, as well as when the right time is and in how much detail. Made This Way speaks on these tough moral issues. Tune in to this episode of RED-C Roundup to learn about how you can give advice to your children on today’s tough moral issues.
