Heat pumps sales are growing across Europe. In this episode we explore whether we are at an inflexion point in the heating transition in Europe – and the key factors that will determine how quickly heat pump sales accelerate.
In this episode, Jon Slowe and Sandra Trittin are joined by Thomas Nowak, Secretary General of the European Heat Pump Association and LCP Delta's Head of Heat Steven Ashurst.
Thomas is an ardent advocate for renewable energy, serving as the Secretary General of the European Heat Pump Association in Brussels. With personal investments in a heat pump and a PV power plant, he champions sustainable energy solutions. Thomas is a prolific author and presenter on heat pump technology, contributing significantly to international conferences. His dedication to advancing renewable energy is underscored by his previous work emphasising its economic and social benefits, driven by a background in business administration and economics.
Steven is an expert in heat decarbonisation and has been a key figure in our heat research team over the past years. In this time Steven’s key responsibilities have included: supporting, managing, and heading up the heat research service offerings, leading primary customer research projects utilising a range of methodologies, providing expert input into consulting projects, and delivering industry roundtables and summits.
