Education is vitally important to the progress of any people and nation. Unfortunately many people, in particular, school age student have faced discrimination and racism. The curriculum's, and administrations have sometimes been outright racist or failed to highlight contributions made by members of minority groups. This causes pain and a disconnect between the school system and the communities who are looking to for healing. Ms. Sharla Stevens is healing the harm that racism has caused.
