Paxton High School junior and FFA Vice President Landon Drews joins Allison Peck to talk about his growing Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project and this year’s Harvest 2025 celebration.
What started as a simple idea to farm school ground has evolved into a full-scale student-run test plot—complete with multiple seed dealers, community support, and hands-on learning opportunities for students of all ages.
Landon shares how the project came to life, what goes into managing a dryland test plot, and how he’s using the experience to educate younger students about agriculture while building leadership and responsibility.
Harvest 2025 takes place Tuesday, November 4th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mountain Time in Paxton, featuring a student, staff, and community hamburger feed.
🎧 It’s more than just a harvest—it’s a lesson in leadership, hard work, and community pride.
