Today we interview James Kenon Mitchell, Director and Visiting Assistant Professor, Interim Head of Opera Theatre at West Virginia University. He has worked with Cindy Hennon Marino in the past and we are elated to have him on! We speak about how he transitioned from a rehearsal/collaborative pianist, into directing opera, as well as what guides his directing and connection to all the stories there is to tell with each piece.
