Nearly 700,000 incidences of child sexual abuse were reported in the united states in 2021, but it is estimated that 80 % of actual incidences go unreported… which means the real number is more like 3.5 million.
Lastly, it is estimated that one in four girls and one in nine boys in the United States will fall victim to sexual abuse before they turn 18.
Megan's Law is a federal law in the United states that requires law enforcement authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders.
