Reinventing Masculinity

This week on The Father Show with Mike Thompson our guest was Ed Frauenheim who is the Co-Author of Reinventing Masculinity: The Liberating Power of Compassion and Connection. He is a father of two teenage kids and a writer. Ed says masculinity is not confined to what our father and grandfathers did as mainly a protector, provider, and a conqueror. Men have become more involved, such as caregivers or spiritual seekers. Liberated Masculinity has open men up to being more involved with their kids, more expressive, and more loving to name a few. These changes not only benefit the child but also the father himself. Ed opens our eyes on how important relationships are in men’s life. Ed and the co-author have developed a formula based on research and speaking with other men called the 5 “C” that they suggest in order for a man to be more liberated. He also tells us how women can help liberate a man or hinder him.
