A Story from Mali...

In 2016 I was invited to Bamako Mali to play with kora virtuoso Toumani Diabate whose music I transcribed to solo guitar. After the concert I met, by chance in a Landrover, Cheick Modibo Diarra, Mali's president during the 2012 coup d'état and Interplanetary navigator for NASA...this is the story of that meeting, and how I got there in the first place.
