On August 29, 2018, Rabbi Ze'ev Smason will ride his bike around Forest Park as a fundraiser for his congregation. He is dedicating his ride to Gino Bartali, an accomplished Italian cyclist, who was responsible for saving over 800 Jewish lives during World War II in Italy. We interviewed Rabbi Smason today. Listen to this wonderful story about the unsung hero, 2-time winner of the Tour de France, 3-time winner of the Giro del Italia and one of the great humanitarians of his time. "Good is something that you do. It is not something you boast." Gino Bartali
