In 1999 Saranne was diagnosed with stage IV triple negative breast cancer. After being misdiagnosed by 11 doctors over 6 years, she had 3 surgeries, 44 radiation treatments and 2+ years chemotherapy (up to 3x daily). She launched The ComedyCures Foundation from her chemo chair in 1999 to help others rediscover their funny bone, mojo, and purpose.
