Quite a pair we’ve got today: Slayer’s “God Hates Us All,” and Dave Brubeck’s “Time Out.” One’s intense thrash metal, the other’s jazz. Kind of tame jazz at that. I wouldn’t be surprised if albums like this were what led to whatever it is that Kenny G does. You know what I’m talking about. The kind of “jazz” you hear in elevators and restaurants. Anyway, even if you’re not all that into the Dave Brubeck, at least give Slayer a whirl. Little side note: Slayer’s “God Hates Us All,” came out on Sept. 11th, 2001. Bit of foreshadowing?
