Episode #11 of The Clay Edwards Show: Clay discusses what it felt like being at the first annual Mississippi mudbug festival at the Mississippi State fairgrounds over the weekend. Friday night was packed out with live entertainment by Mississippi's very own Chad Wesley (who co-hosted last weeks show & podcast with me and is available here as Episode #10) and Outlaw country superstar Frank Foster. Clay talked about what Jackson is capable of when it's do-nothing mayor (Chokwe Antar Lumumba) will just get out of the way and let the adults take care of business.
Clay also discusses his disgust with the current pro & college sports climate of being overly WOKE and how not watching sports has helped him free up so much time that he's started a podcast and now has a live radio show.
Of the Clay's old friends (Granny) calls into the show and dicusses everthing from home grown vs store bought tomatos to losing 200 lbs in 2 years.
The Dumpsters Of Mississippi "Dumpster Fire Of The Week" award goes to CNN for trying to cancel the chop suey font because they think its racist to asians (even though asian businesses are typically the only ones who use it)
Special shoutout to Ag Commissioner Andy Gipson & his team at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds for not being afraid to host a great event that brought people together from all backgrounds, races & religions in the middle of downtown Jackson.
