Our full Sunday service from 6th August 2023.
Message: Groans and Sighs - Jamie Fredricks
“We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28 is a well known Bible passage, often quoted and used to encourage us when we face adversity. But taken out of context it can seem a little bit trite, simplistic or even insensitive. Jamie broadens the scope to consider the discussion in which this verse occurs, which shows us a very real appreciation of the struggles and trials of life. The writer, Paul, offers a nuanced and pastoral perspective, which assures his readers of God’s love, while emphasising their own role in the journey towards healing and resurrection.
