Victims of crime deserve better support – Commissioner McGrath

Ireland’s EU Commissioner Michael McGrath is calling for better support and protection for victims of crime in EU countries. Every year, an estimated 75 million people in the European Union fall victim to crime. But Commissioner McGrath who is responsible for Criminal Justice in the bloc, says a lot more can be done to ensure they get access to justice and get the kind of care and attention they deserve.

His calls come ahead of tomorrow’s (Saturday) European Day for Victims of Crime.
