Daphna Baram is a London based Jerusalem born comedian. She worked as a human rights lawyer, a journalist, an editor and an academic. A heart attack at a haringey gym at the tender aged of 39, combined with two weddings and a brief encounter with Chris Morris, all conspired to launch her into middle age and stand up comedy. Daphna performs in London but ventures to gigs across the UK and in Europe. She is currently working on her 5th Edinburgh Fringe solo show. Her comedy is inspired by her passion for politics, her experience of immigration and London life, and her past as a hard nosed journalist and a lawyer representing Palestinians in military courts. “ * * * * * Masterful, Her fantastic way with words and bone dry humour have the audience in fits of laughter... Superbly refreshing" Bunbury Magazine. (Bunbury Magazine); “Explosive”, Walthamstow Guardian; "illuminating and poignant take on tough subjects...fresh and enlightening, her warmth elevating the gentle, conversational nature of her delivery."
