This week, my friend Whitney Lee shares with us that God has given her a gift of discipline. So awesome! I have never met anyone like Whitney and I think you all are going to love her!!
I learned so much from Whitney in this conversation and I pray you do as well, for God's glory.
In this conversation, Whitney is talking with us from South Korea. She is married and living and working there at an international school. She is a P.E. teacher.
Whitney has been gifted by God with discipline. She tells us every morning she gets up for her quiet time/study time in the Bible and then she works out. She is diligent about seeking God while working out saying she wants to be prepared for what God wants me to do.
She said, "God is so good at using what we give Him." By working out and staying in shape she talks about how she aims to do good with what God has given her. She also talks about a recent struggle she went through after a knee surgery and about how painful her recovery was. But she said she learned through the process that "God will use me no matter where He has me."
Whitney is a dear friend of mine and I pray her encouragement finds you in a place ready to receive it and be encouraged by her for God's glory.
The book she talks about is called, "Every Body Matters." Here is a link to the book if you are interested in more information: https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/every-body-matters-strengthening-your-body-to-strengthen-your-soul_gary-l-thomas/330991/item/414545/?mkwid=%7cdc&pcrid=479706401736&pkw=&pmt=&slid=&plc=&pgrid=117123301190&ptaid=pla-1019266062864&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIl737nvmc7gIVDdbACh0fEg2-EAQYASABEgKT5vD_BwE#idiq=414545&edition=6674174
She shares Luke 22:31-33 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
And Colossians 4:2-4 "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should."
Thanks for your time, Whitney Lee!
