PART 1 EXPLORES THE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND TO EVENTS IN East Clare IN THE AUTUMN AND WINTER OF 1920 WITH AN ATTACK ON AN RIC BARRACKS IN SCARIFF LEADING TO A NUMBER OF MEN GOING ON THE RUN FROM BRITISH FORCES.
