Have any of you seen how quickly a spider moves? If one was their size, well images are the stuff of nightmares. As she went on talking about this terrible microcosmic world I quipped: “their lives are devoid of sensation and overwhelmed with predation: it’s like a Hollywood party.” Yet the spider which lurks within the webbed enigma of the French revolution was, is, and will always be waiting to feed...on us.
