Why Does Hamas Lie, Why Do We Believe?

In this report from Jerusalem, I examine two critical questions that every Western observer of the Israel-Gaza conflict must understand: Why does Hamas lie, and why are we in the West so susceptible to believing those lies? Originally planning to cover the top seven lies about Israel in Gaza, I realized we first need to understand the foundational issues driving this deception.I take you through Hamas’s own charter—both the 1988 original and the 2017 addendum—revealing their explicit commitment to Israel’s complete annihilation “from the river to the sea.” Despite claims of seeking peace, their charter makes clear that they believe any coexistence can only occur “under the wing of Islam” with non-Muslims relegated to second-class dhimmi status. Their official slogan declares “Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes,” yet Western media continues to treat them as legitimate negotiating partners.The religious foundation for Hamas’s systematic deception is taqiyya—the Islamic doctrine that permits and even mandates lying to advance Islamic conquest. According to authoritative Islamic texts, war against “infidels” continues in perpetuity until universal Islamic domination is achieved, making any peace treaties merely temporary tactical maneuvers. I explore why our Western epistemology—our system for determining truth based on logic and scientific reasoning—leaves us vulnerable to believing these lies because we cannot comprehend the concept of permanent religious war. The dormant virus of antisemitism, now erupting globally after decades of post-WW2 dormancy, makes fertile ground for Hamas propaganda to take root. 2 Thessalonians 2:3–12—The Man of Lawlessness

In this episode, I examine one of the most comprehensive biblical passages about the coming Antichrist—2 Thessalonians 2:3-12. With about 100 passages in Scripture giving us information about this coming world leader, God has been pleased to reveal extensive details about his career and ultimate doom. Paul’s teaching here provides an incredible prophetic timetable that every believer needs to understand.I break down this passage into five key areas:* The rise of the Antichrist after the Rapture, where we see him called the “man of lawlessness” and “son of destruction”—titles that reveal his evil nature and doomed destiny. Just as history began with the sin of man, it will end with the man of sin.* The rebuilt Temple where the Antichrist will sit in the Holy of Holies declaring himself to be God, creating the Abomination of Desolation that Jesus warned about.* The removal of the restrainer—which I believe is the Holy Spirit working through the Church. Putin as Gog? The Russian Leader’s Role in Bible Prophecy

On this week’s program, I examine how the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war, now grinding on for over 1,300 days with catastrophic casualties, is setting the stage for the fulfillment of the Gog-Magog prophecy in Ezekiel chapters 38–39. Written over 2,600 years ago, this prophecy predicts an end-time invasion of Israel by an alliance led by Russia, along with Iran, Turkey, and several Islamic nations. As President Trump pursues peace negotiations between Putin and Zelensky, I see three specific ways that current events foreshadow what’s coming.First, Russia’s obsession with recreating its Soviet past and former glory could serve as the “hooks in the jaws” that God uses to draw Russia into this invasion. Putin has called the Soviet Union’s breakup “the greatest political catastrophe of the 20th century,” and this nostalgia for empire could motivate Russian involvement in an attack on Israel.Second, the growing division between Europe and Russia creates the East-versus-West alignment we see in end-times prophecy, where the Antichrist from a reunited Roman Empire will have a peace covenant with Israel that Russia’s invasion will directly challenge.Third, Vladimir Putin himself bears the evil characteristics we might expect from the final Russian ruler called “Gog.” While I’m careful not to conclusively identify Putin as Gog, he is certainly “Gog-like” and may be setting the stage for this prophetic fulfillment.In the second half of our program, I continue our study of Revelation 13:11–18, examining the False Prophet and the Mark of the Beast—666.
