'Listen Then Speak' w. Jahmaal Marshall - Public Speaker, Podcaster, Certified Counselor
Jahmaal Marshall is a public speaker, a mentor, a counsellor and a fan of all things spoken word. He has a passion to see past the surface to discover the 'why' and the 'what'.
Jahmaal spent 6 years working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons Central Office in DC - which taught him a lot about the stigma and miscast judgements that fall upon those in prison.
We also discuss the preparation needed to ensure an effective presentation occurs when speaking to a group, before during and after a gig. We also dive into the differences between counselling and mentoring.
There is a very candid spot towards the back end of the interview that I really appreciate Jahmaal's honesty - as we converse about some, of the many, issues that the world faces today. We specifically discuss his situation and perspective of being a young black man living in America.
Some excellent content here today - very thankful to Jahmaal for coming on the show!
