Matt Corral has been all over the Mock Draft boards over the past year. Will he remain a 1st Round selection?
It all began at Oaks Christian High School in California for Matt Corral and his football career. However, before completing high school he decided to transfer to Long Beach Polytechnic High School, also in California.
At the high school level, Matt Corral had a total of over 11,000 yards and 123 touchdowns, before ultimately graduating and originally committing to first University of Southern Carolina (USC), then the University of Florida before eventually ending up committing to the University of Mississippi.
In his first season at Ole Miss, Matt Corral was a backup and got to play in four games, essentially redshirting the year, before becoming the starter in 2019. In his four years at the University of Mississippi Matt Corral completed 612 of 910 passes (67.3%) for 8,281 passing yards and 57 passing touchdowns to 23 interceptions. Corral also rushed the ball 334 times for 1,338 yards and 18 rushing scores.
In his final game for Ole Miss, the 2022 Sugar Bowl against Baylor University, Matt Corral suffered an ankle sprain early in the game and had to be carted off. He later received news that there was no long-term damage to his ankle.
