Episode 31: Conquering Gym Insecurities feat. Girl Gains CEO Elisabeth Bradley
Episode 31 features Elisabeth Bradley, the co-founder and CEO of Girl Gains. Founded at San Diego State University in 2020 by students with a passion for fitness, Girl Gains is a growing organization that aims to promote female weight lifting and empower women. Girl Gains was created to provide women of all backgrounds and fitness levels with community, resources and confidence. Elisabeth graduated from SDSU in May 2021 with a degree in Biology on a pre-PA track. She started Girl Gains because she wanted to give every girl access to a support system during their fitness journey. Little did she know that being apart of such an uplifting group of women would push her to find her true potential both in and out of the weightroom. Girl Gains has now expanded to over 50 campuses and hosts events and programming for women of all ages! In today's episode, we share tips on how to build confidence at the gym. We discuss the common factors that cause women to feel intimidated of the weightroom and chat about how Girl Gains strives to offer a supportive and encouraging solution to this problem.
