Joanna Zeiger, MS, PhD, is an Olympian, World Champion in triathlon, and epidemiologist with a strong background in study design and biostatistics, particularly questionnaire-based outcomes studies. Joanna’s studies took her to Brown University (BA) and Northwestern University (MS). She did her doctoral and post-doctoral work at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a focus on gene-environment interactions in the etiology of birth defects. A 2009 bike accident left Dr. Joanna Zeiger with severe chronic pain for which she started using cannabis to mitigate symptoms and to aid with sleep.
