Lincoln-Sudbury boy’s varsity basketball head coach Linda Martindale is a true basketball lifer. A former college star at Division II University of Alaska-Anchorage and at Division I University of Arizona, Martindale has spent the past two decades coaching at all different levels, including several successful stints as high school girls basketball coach, as well as college Division III women’s assistant coach, while also coaching middle school boys travel basketball. Along the way, she picked up a Massachusetts Division 3 Girls Basketball Coach of the Year Award. One of the few women to coach boys varsity high school basketball, Martindale joined the L.I.T. podcast to talk about her unique journey; her philosophy on mentoring and developing players; and her thoughts on evaluating talent, among other topics.
