When is it important for you to be disruptive in service to your child's wellbeing?
What do you think being "disruptive" means?
When is it important for you to be disruptive in service to your child's wellbeing?
On today's podcast episode I'm asking you to get curious around where in your life you need to be more disruptive for this purpose because there's a lot to lose if you don't.
An interesting trend I've noticed in the clients I work with (especially the women) is that they recognize they've been people pleasers their entire lives. They've recently realized that doing so is hurting their own well being because they're short changing their own needs for the needs of others.
But that's not all. People pleasing also means they're not stepping up for their child as powerfully as they could be because they're worried about being viewed as rude, pushy, bitchy, or a nuisance.
To help us navigate this topic I've brought on Shauna Bryant, a brilliant coach, mom to three boys, and self proclaimed rebel rouser. In this episode she powerfully shares how people pleasing drove her right into burn out and how learning to be her own version of disruptive brought her back, more powerfully than ever.
She's evidence that you can do this too.
