From Silence to Celebration | The Meaning of Silence | Craig Smith
The time period between the Old Testament and the New was called the "silent years" because the Jewish people were waiting to hear from God. Then we see in Isaiah when Jesus speaks to the people that JESUS is the end of silence and because of his coming, the celebrating can begin. Jesus is God with us. It is easy to assume that when God appears silent, he is inactive, but really, God may be preparing more than you could ever imagine.
