Episode 150 is here and this week Peter Burrell shares his story with us. Peter was a highly active, heavy duty plant mechanic, able to eat whatever he liked until life begun to slow down and the weight began to creep on. Eventually the sign posts that were: obesity, fatigue and sleep apneoa lead to Cardiovascular Disease and Peter required 6 bypasses to keep him alive. Peter left the hospital alive, but diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and prescribed blood thinning meds, Metformin to manage his Diabetes, and advised he would need to take these medications for the rest of his life, that was before he found a whole food, plant-based diet.
