On Christmas, people throughout the world pause to acknowledge the advent of Jesus, God's Son, into the world as a physical presence. The story of Christ's birth is greatly beloved, and rightly so -- it's a sign of joy through the arrival of God's long-promised Savior.
But what if the story of Jesus ended at Bethlehem?
As we close our year-long study of Jesus as the Master Teacher, we will take a fresh look at the culmination of Jesus' sojourn on Earth by looking at his final brief lesson to his disciples: what we often call his Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). We'll consider how Jesus' last personal message fulfils the potential and promise of his glorious birth, and makes the perfect conclusion to the story that began at the manger.
