Paul realized that by working and retiring during the pandemic, he missed the comradery and sense of community he once felt. Our inspirational guest John Fulwider embraced new paths that arose in his life by keeping an open mind to change. Due to his father serving in the air force, his family moved around a lot as he was growing up. John was able to see new places but relocating every couple of years made it difficult to build lasting connections with others. It wasn’t until he was twenty-five years old that he felt grounded and finally had a best friend. Although John encountered continuous changes, he was always goal oriented. He went into business for himself after landing a notable internship and graduating college within four years. John quickly fell in love and married his wife in his early twenties. While he had a strong drive for success, he found himself having to make big changes due to complications with his health and infertility. Grappling with their reproductive struggles led to devastating depression, anxiety, and panic attacks for John. Through invitro fertilization, they were able to welcome three children and grow their family. As life got back on track, things took a turn for the worse when he caught chicken pox.
