In February 1983 a drainage engineer was called to a house in Cranley Gardens, North London, to deal with some smelly, blocked drains, little did he or anyone else know they were about to uncover the crimes of one of Britain’s most prolific serial killers.
This week we recount the story of Dennis Nilsen, a quiet, reclusive man who killed up to 15 young, vulnerable men over the course of 5 years in a quest for company, ahead of the finale of ITV’s latest true crime drama, Des, starring David Tennant as the killer.
