EP251 - Brad Brisco, Digital Ecclesiology & Deconstructing Church
Can we deconstruct the church and not God? Can we challenge the bride of Christ in America without questioning our faith? This is a quandary I live in. This is just one of the questions we dug into in the podcast.
As we explore digital ministry and digital church, we are challenging perceived norms, and I may in the few, but I will own this statement: when done right, I believe that a digital expression of church is actually closer to the biblical model proposed.
Brad Brisco is one of my favorite twitter follows. While most of Twitter has seemingly become a giant shout-fest turning grown adults into petty children, Brad utilizes the platform so well to challenge his people to his way of thinking, sure, but he does it respectfully. And as someone who works with co-vocational pastors and priesthood of all believes ideology (challenging the clergy/laity divide) Brad is one of these in the church-space who may not understand a digital ecclesiology, but through his work is giving permission to digital to reimagine it’s ecclesiology.
So jump on the show as Brad Brisco from the North American Mission Board unpacks Digital Ecclesiology & Deconstructing Church.
