Your wedding ceremony is ripe for mistakes, such as the officiant not asking guests to be seated or the officiant photobombing the first kiss.

Firstly, we recommend doing a rehearsal ceremony, which is typically done two or three days before the wedding, to iron out any issues that you may have.

It’s best to avoid having your ceremony on any religious holiday since they are sacred to people and you don’t want to risk alienating them.

Secondly, if you are having a friend or family member get ordained online to do your ceremony make sure they are aware of the wedding protocol and what legal requirements are needed.

Another common ceremony mistake is not ensuring that the wedding rings are ready when the officiant looks to the best man or maid of honor for them. Also, not having a microphone check before the ceremony starts.  All of these steps are necessary to ensure a smooth and successful ceremony.
