Greystone’s Leap for Autism (Aired on January 30, 2022)
From Greystone Programs Tracilyn Vaticano, Assistant Executive Director and Samara Enders, Director of Philanthropy, report to Radio Rotary about the charity’s annual Leap for Autism and other aspects of Greystone’s work with autistic individuals. Since 1979 Greystone Programs has provided essential community-based and residential services and life-enriching opportunities to more than 600 children, adults, and families who deal with autism in Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster counties of New York State. One annual fundraiser is a tandem skydive at Skydive the Ranch in Garrison, NY, an event that brings 60 to 70 donors along with Greystone staff to parachute from airplanes in support of Greystone Programs—the seventh annual Leap for Autism. In a tandem skydive and trained diver manages the parachute for both divers, who descend connected from a single chute.
