Our inspirational guest Roseann Sdoia was supporting her friend during the 2013 Boston Marathon when she heard an explosion in the crowd. Seconds later, she was thrown into the air and knocked unconscious by another bomb. When she came too, she was immediately aware she was in a life-or-death situation. A firefighter helped get her to a hospital, and the two stayed in touch as Roseann recovered. Eventually, they formed a close friendship, and then a relationship. Finally, the two married. Although Roseann needed to amputate one of her legs, she recovered from her injuries and learned to use a number of prosthetics. Now, Roseann can walk, run, bike, and travel.
