The Podcast

Tom Meets Interesting People delves deep into the projects and processes of anyone from voice actors to nuclear engineers. Each week, I will interview a different interesting person and help them share their story, discuss the challenges they have faced along the way, and look at the tools and techniques they have used to do what they do. In the process, I aim to help you understand what they do and why they do it.

I aim to interview guests with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge. So far, I have met AI creators, hostages, and Twitch streamers.

Each interview ends with a questionnaire, and in that, my guest only gets one swear word with Tom.

The Host

Originally from Manchester, England, Tom Sanderson is the host of Tom Meets Interesting People, the podcast you go to if you want to know how someone does what they do. In each episode, a new guest, from voice actors to nuclear engineers, shows up to tell Tom how they do what they do. We discuss the processes behind their work, reflect on the outcomes, and work together to give our audience a better understanding of their processes. Tom Meets Interesting People is in the Goodpods top 100 indie documentary chart.

Before that, Tom earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Northampton and is currently exploring postgraduate options. His dissertation explored how we form and maintain friendships in shared experiences, and this research was a UON Psychology Conference award winner in 2022.

Prior to this, Tom worked in the care industry but now spends his time running Tom Sanderson Tutoring, a business that specializes in providing education options for students who are unable to enter mainstream education.
