S2E9: The intersection Between Social Justice and Environmental Issues | Diandra Marizet Esparza
Welcome to the ninth episode of ‘The IKKIVI Podcast Season 2’. In this episode, we have with us Diandra Marizet Esparza, the co-founder of Intersectional Environmentalist. She is a speaker, writer, and poet whose work addresses the erasure of diverse stories and education available to rising generations. In this episode, we speak with her about her journey as a founding member of the non-profit organization Intersectional Environmentalist, the incredible work she does for the community through it, and how she defines the concept of intersectionality between social justice and environmental issues. We also speak with her about culture being a way to reconnect with nature, the need to collectively incorporate an intersectional approach in our environmental advocacy, and her long-term aspirations towards making a difference in society. This conversation has been so thoughtful and engaging, and we are so excited for you to tune in! You can follow her work on Instagram.
