existence and self-purpose, replacing them with the
existence and purpose of Christ. Philippians 1:21
and John 4:34.
B. Taking up our cross daily is not passive. There is a
difference between burdens and cross-bearing.
I Corinthians 15:31.
C. To follow me (Gk. akolotheou) “to be in the same
way as.” John 21:19, 22 and Philippians 2:5.
