295: On-Line Physical Education in Unprecedented Times w/Dr. Chad Killian (re-run)
This episode is a re-run of a previous podcast. This summer I am teaching a research reading seminar class at George Mason. It’s an online master’s class for practicing health and physical educators as a part of our 100% online masters program. This summer, I am launching episodes that I assign in that class. So part of the class is reading articles, and then part of the class we listen to the expert talk about their research on this podcast. These are all episodes that have launched previously, so maybe you’ve heard them…but, I know there’s a lot of content on this podcast and these are all great podcasts! I hope you enjoy them! And I will be back in mid August with an awesome podcast about the state of PETE in the USA with Dr. Phil Ward! What is quality on-line PE? What do we know about on-line PE? What should we expect when the entire country is forced out of schools and into their homes? Dr. Chad Killian joins me to discuss these unprecedented times.
His recent article citation we discuss: Killian, C. M., Kinder, C. J., & Woods, A. M. (2019). Online and blended instruction in k–12 physical education: a scoping review. Kinesiology Review, 8(2), 110-129.
