In March of 1927, Long Island magazine editor, Albert Snyder was murdered while he slept. His head was crushed with a curtain weight, choloroform rags were jammed down his throat, and he was garrotted with piano wire. His death would inspire the classic movie, "Double Indemnity," and teach us all something about how "polite" society perceives a man and a woman accused of the exact same crime...
