Bruins blank Rangers: 3 Stars - Bussi, Poitras, the fans!

The Boston Bruins began the preseason with a 3-0 win over the New York Rangers, and host Ian McLaren is awarding his three stars of the game.

1) Brandon Bussi made 29 saves for the shutout, including an early save of the eyar candidate. He sure seems ready for more NHL action, but finds himself firmly behind linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman on the depth chart.

2) Matt Poitras recorded a goal and an assist in his NHL preseason debut. He's certainly impression Bruins brass, but is it enough to stick with the team all season long? Maybe not with Johnny Beecher seemingly ready to make the jump.
